Meet Senior Associate Dean Paige LaRose!

Q: How long have you been at WashU? At Olin?
A: I’ve been at WashU since March 2008. It’s really crazy for me to think about having welcomed 16 classes of new students to the Olin Business School!

Q: Where did you grow up, and what brought you to St. Louis/WashU?
A: I grew up in Tipton, Missouri, a small farming community in the middle of the state. My high school graduating class had 45 students! I moved away for college and graduate school and then worked at the University of Iowa for a few years. I made my way to St. Louis about 20 years ago for law school at Saint Louis University. Practicing law just wasn’t my jam and I’m really glad that I found a role at WashU and made the return to a career in higher education.

Q: What are some of your interests outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I like to travel, garden, and discover new restaurants in St. Louis. A few of my favorites right now include Nomad (Dogtown), Chao Baan (The Grove), and Bagel Union (Webster Groves). I’m happy to share recommendations if asked!

Q: What was your favorite memory from this summer?
A: We took a family trip to San Diego in August. Our kids – Josie (14), Bea (11), and Theo (8) – are getting older, busier, and much less excited about hanging out with us. It was wonderful to have their full attention for a week and discover a new city together.
