The deadline to apply for Internal Transfer for fall 2021: May 13, 2021

Internal Transfer Candidates: Students enrolled in other day division programs may apply to transfer to the Olin School.  Transfer applications are reviewed at the end of each semester for entry to Olin in the following spring or fall. New students to the University must spend their first semester enrolled in the school which admitted them.


Minimum criteria in order to be considered as an internal transfer for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree program includes:

  • An academic record that supports that conclusion that the student will be able to complete the BSBA degree within a typical time frame.
  • Successful completion of Calculus II for credit is a requirement for admission to our program. Students may be currently enrolled in Calculus II at the time of the request to transfer providing the student will have completed the course and earned a letter grade prior to admission to Olin.
  • Students are expected to have completed at least two business (BU) core courses for credit
  • A 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
  • You must be in good standing in your current division.

Students interested in declaring a dual degree with Olin must also meet the internal transfer criteria listed above. Please meet with an on-call advisor to discuss the dual degree declaration and process.


Minimum criteria in order to be considered for the Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science (BUCS) degree program:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 overall and in all business and computer science classes.
  • Completion of a minimum of 2 business and 2 computer science courses that are required in the BUCS curriculum.
  • Successful completion of Calculus II for credit is a requirement for admission to our program. Students may be currently enrolled in Calculus II at the time of the request to transfer providing the student will have completed the course and earned a letter grade prior to admission to BUCS.
  • Ability to complete degree in a timely manner.

How to Apply

BSBA Internal Transfer
  • Submit your online application under the “Change Schools” menu item on WebSTAC by the end of a semester.
  • Complete an exit interview or exit survey with your home division before the end of the semester.
  • Olin’s Admission Committee will review all applicants for their eligibility to transfer once the semester’s grades are submitted.
  • You should plan to meet with one of the BSBA academic advisors during our virtual on-call advising sessions on Zoom to discuss schedule ideas for the next semester as well as to familiarize yourself with our degree requirements. An on-call advisor is available to meet virtually on Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Central Time.
BUCS Internal Transfer
  • Complete the BUCS internal division transfer application by the deadline.
    • The BUCS Admission Committee will review all applicants for their eligibility to transfer once the semester’s grades are submitted.
  • We encourage you to schedule an appointment to meet with Jessie Vosseller (Olin Undergraduate Programs) at jessiev@wustl.edu or Ron Laue (McKelvey School of Engineering) at ron.laue@wustl.edu to discuss schedule ideas for the next semester as well as to familiarize yourself with the degree requirements. 

Each application is reviewed on its own individual merits. Meeting these specific requirements does not guarantee admission to Olin automatically.
