Paige LaRose (she/her/hers)
Associate Dean & Director of Undergraduate Programs
Dean LaRose oversees all aspects of the undergraduate program including academic advising, student development, admissions, and academic integrity.
Dean LaRose began her career in higher education working in collegiate athletics. She has worked with business students at Olin since 2008. Dean LaRose earned a B.A. in History from Truman State University, a M.Ed. in Higher Education from Texas A&M University, and holds a J.D. from Saint Louis University.
She loves to explore new restaurants and shops in the city of St. Louis. She is an avid yogi and exercise enthusiast. On the weekends, you’ll find her gardening or coaching her daughter’s basketball team.
Yoon Groves (she/her/hers)
Director of Academic and Student Affairs of Undergraduate Programs
Yoon joined WashU in the Summer of 2012. She oversees student development for Olin Undergraduate students, working with student organizations and various programs. She is also a 4 year academic advisor, 2nd major advisor for Financial Engineering, and finance minor advisor.
Yoon came to WashU from Saint Louis University and has thirteen years of experience in higher education. She has worked in student affairs, academic affairs, and career services. She holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Missouri – Columbia and a M.A. in Student Personnel Administration from Saint Louis University.
Yoon enjoys spending time with her family and binge watching shows.
Associate Director of Academic & Student Services
Steve Malter, Ph.D., (he/him/his)
Senior Associate Dean for Experiential Learning and Strategic Programs
Dean Malter has oversight for the Center for Experiential Learning. Dean Malter is also an academic advisor for undergraduate students and has developed and teaches in Olin’s Israel Summer Business Academy each summer.
Dean Malter earned his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and Law and his Master of Counselor Education in Student Personnel from the University of Florida in 1995 and 1998 respectively. While working at Olin, Steve earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2007. He began his higher education career in the Office of Student Activities at Washington University in St. Louis from 1998-2001 and then joined Ernst & Young as a campus recruiter from 2001-2003 before returning to Washington University in St. Louis and joining Olin in 2004.

Analisa Ortiz (she/her/hers)
Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising & Student Affairs
Analisa oversees Olin’s student success programs, advises student organizations, and serves as a four year academic advisor. Analisa is also the liaison for Olin’s marketing and communications team.
Analisa earned her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Communications at Iowa State University and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. At ISU, she studied abroad in London and during her Masters program she accompanied a group of student on a service trip to the Dominican Republic.
She enjoy reading, traveling, and attending concerts.
Sandra Philius (she/her/hers)
Academic and Student Affairs Advisor
Sandra came to WashU in May 2018. She serves as a four-year academic advisor in our Undergraduate Programs office. She is also one of the co-coordinators for the Olin Fleischer Scholars Program, advises several of our business student organizations, and acts as the liaison for Marketing and Healthcare Management.
Sandra earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Florida and her M.S. in College Student Affairs from Nova Southeastern University.
In her spare time, Sandra enjoys going to concerts, watching movies (Marvel!), collecting Pop Funkos, reading (mostly popular culture), and trying all of the great restaurants in St. Louis.
Rhema Remmel (she/her/hers)
Rhema came to WashU in Fall 2015, working in Residential Life as a Housing Assignments Coordinator and transitioning to Olin Undergraduate Programs in Spring 2019.
She oversees the logistics and coordination of executing Olin events including but not limited to recruitment events, orientations, other undergraduate events, graduations and guest lecture forums and receptions.
She earned a B.A. in Theatre Performance at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is currently a part-time MBA candidate at the Olin Business School. She is a passionate dog lover and Jeni’s Ice Cream eater. In her spare time, she loves to catch theatre productions on St. Louis stages and having brunch on Sunday mornings.
Elizabeth Shabani (she/her/hers)
Director of Global Programs
In addition to serving as a four year advisor, Liz supports the ever increasing number of Olin students studying abroad through the inquiry phase, through abroad, and upon return. She is the primary contact for most internship abroad programs.
Liz holds a M.Ed in Higher Education and has nearly 10 years experience in the field of international education. Having studied art and art history as an undergraduate, Liz has lived and worked overseas, and has spent significant time in Italy, Ireland, and Kosovo.
She enjoys sharing her experiences and encouraging students to step out of their comfort zone and meet locals when travelling abroad in order to get the most out of their study and internship abroad experiences.

Sara Stratton (she/her/hers)
Global & Academic Advisor
Sara came to WashU in June 2018. She manages a number of Olin’s semester and short-term programs abroad. Sara works with students before, during, and after their time abroad, as well as with the short-term faculty-led domestic programs. She is also a 4-year academic advisor, and advisor for the International Business and Business of Entertainment minors.
Sara has worked in higher education for a number of years across the US and Spain, most recently working in Global Education at M.I.T. in Cambridge, MA. She earned her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa & her M.A. in International Higher Education & Intercultural Relations from Lesley University.
Sara is a travel enthusiast, both domestic and international, and a connoisseur of useless trivia. In her spare time, she enjoys live music, exploring all St. Louis has to offer, baking, and playing with her dog, Zeba.
Jessie Vosseller (she/her/hers)
Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising & Student Affairs
In addition to serving as a four-year advisor and student affairs advisor, she also coordinates many of our recruitment efforts.
Jessie earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from Iowa State University and a M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from Illinois State University. She has spent her higher education career in academic support and geeks out over time management and study skills strategies.
In her free time, Jessie enjoys biking around St. Louis, hanging out with her corgi Gus, and sampling all the craft beer St. Louis has to offer.
Global and Academic Advisor
Maureen came to WashU in May 2018. She manages the Israel Summer Business Academic (ISBA) and incoming and outgoing exchange programs, in addition to being a 4-year advisor. Maureen began her work in international education when she lived in Bogotá, Colombia, where she assisted students who were interested in studying in the U.S. Upon returning from Colombia, Maureen has worked in international education as a study abroad advisor for domestic students and immigration advisor for international students. She earned her B.A. in Journalism and Spanish from Central Michigan University and an M.S. in International Public Service from DePaul University. Outside of work, Maureen enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog, Darwin, exploring the Shaw neighborhood, where she recently moved. She also enjoys discovering the best new restaurants in St. Louis, spending time with friends and traveling internationally.
